A Folk Story is a piece in three movements for Brass Quintet (2 trumpets, French Horn, Trombone, and Tuba) inspired by Lebanese folk music and traditions. The story highlights three stages of a typical Lebanese who was born in Lebanon, then leſt his country to work outside. how he grew up with all these folk traditions, especially the Dabkeh which is a group dance that resembles all the Lebanese weddings and ceremonies, then the transitional stage in which he tries to adapt to the new culture and its traditions, and at the same time, try to keep a memory (om all that connects him with his hometown. And then, the last stage, where he becomes w new human being with mixed culture and traditions, trying to find the balance between where he grew up, and where he is now.
