The Lebanese Living Composers Channel

The Lebanese Living Composers’ Channel (LLCC) is a project that aims to support the Lebanese living composers by creating a YouTube channel, a Facebook page, and an Instagram account to present their works as score videos. This one-of-a-kind project will introduce the methodology, nature, and practices behind their magnificent works as score videos.

The project will enable generations of musicians and music appreciators to easily access hundreds of works. To learn from, network, and discuss limitless aspects and factors with the dedicated and living composers allowing a wider path to introduce Lebanese music and culture to a vast and diverse audience.

OUR VISION

Lebanon is a country of rich culture, art, and music. A land that is full of creative minds, aesthetic flow, and a cultural mash-up. A line of artists waiting to connect with the outer world. To present their ideas and discoveries through their art and work. Composers that have lived through wars, conflicts, crises, and the biggest non-nuclear explosion in history. It is time to reinvigorate the platform to connect the Lebanese living composers with their boundless audience.

LLCC aims to create a shared digital platform dedicated to featuring the Lebanese Living composers through a studied selection of their compositions and an accessible way to contact and converse with them. The platform will include an archive of composers’ portfolios.

The LLCC has launched a call, collecting the sample data to feature and celebrate all Lebanese living composers, living in Lebanon and abroad, at different career stages, different backgrounds, styles, practices, and influences.

PROJECTS GOALS

Archive the works of the living Lebanese composers and support their presence on social media.

Create a shared portfolio for Lebanese living composers that properly introduces them and the Lebanese art and culture in this particular art form to the world.

Present the Lebanese living composers through a selection of chamber music, and create a direct communication between them and the Public.

Create a subsidized educational resource for international composition students by posting videos of recorded music with the simultaneous score.

Create a sustainable growing digital platform.

Create a supportive community that is eager to network.

Posting interviews, podcasts, and live streams with the featured composers.

We invite all the Lebanese living composers in Lebanon and abroad, from all different musical backgrounds, and at any stage of their careers, to visit our submission page and fill out the application and be a part of this project
