The Lebanese Living Composers’ Channel (LLCC) is a project that supports Lebanese composers. It creates a digital platform where their compositions are featured and allows people to easily contact and communicate with them.
The platform has a collection of composers’ portfolios, showcasing the works of 34 composers so far. There are over 68 score videos created as part of this project. The composers share their works as score videos on a YouTube channel, a Facebook page, and an Instagram account. This project aims to introduce the methods, nature, and practices behind their amazing works as score videos.
The project allows musicians and music lovers to easily access many works. They can learn from, connect with, and discuss various aspects with living composers. This provides a broader opportunity to introduce Lebanese music and culture to a diverse audience.
OUR VISION
Lebanon has a rich culture, art, and music. It is a land full of creative minds, beautiful flow, and a mix of different cultures. Many artists are waiting to connect with the rest of the world and share their ideas and discoveries through their art. Despite experiencing wars, conflicts, crises, and a major explosion, it is important to revive the platform that connects Lebanese composers with their audience.
The LLCC has initiated a call to gather sample data for showcasing and honoring Lebanese composers who are currently living in Lebanon or abroad. This includes composers from diverse backgrounds, styles, practices, and influences, at various stages of their careers.
PROJECTS GOALS
Archive the works of the living Lebanese composers and support their presence on social media.
Create a shared portfolio for Lebanese living composers that properly introduces them and the Lebanese art and culture in this particular art form to the world.
Present the Lebanese living composers through a selection of chamber music, and create a direct communication between them and the Public.
Create a subsidized educational resource for international composition students by posting videos of recorded music with the simultaneous score.
Create a sustainable growing digital platform.
Create a supportive community that is eager to network.
Posting interviews, podcasts, and live streams with the featured composers.
